We’re a family-run “full solar array” dealer and installation company located in New Jersey, USA. This blog, however, is intended to inform and educate homeowners and would-be DIY installers; resources and instruction manuals for the entire experience from government incentives to installation are all available, for free, here.
Our guides are broken up into three categories, one for each of the different stages of making the switch to solar. Our beginner’s guide discusses site surveys; in other words, determining if a property is ready for solar, whether a roof or ground mount is ideal. We also have a look at what the different state and federal tax breaks, rebates, and interest-free loans are, where they are available, and how to apply for them.
Our intermediate guide includes a before-you-buy checklist, and information on the different options available, such as one or two-axis tracking and battery back-up systems. All of the necessary permits are listed here as well, along with the required documentation and instructions on how to fill these out correctly.
Our advanced guide covers the process of installing a solar array, and how to ensure that, once complete, it adheres to local, state, and federal laws and building codes.
Lastly, our advanced guide describes installation methods for ground-mount, roof-mount, and free-standing structure arrays.
